GATEWAY PROJECTS’ SCAVENGER HUNT STEPS UP FOR YOUTH CAUSES

Africa-Press – Eswatini. The streets of Manzini turned into a playground of clues, laughter, and purpose on Sunday, August 10, as Gateway Projects, in partnership with Pharmindustry Swaziland, staged a Scavenger Hunt and 5KM Walk to raise funds for youth-focused initiatives.

Thirty-two teams took up the challenge, each navigating a trail of riddles and activities designed to test wit, teamwork, and endurance.

The event drew participants from all walks of life, united by a shared goal: to support two community projects. Funds raised will help provide meals for underprivileged university students through the Save a Soul Foundation’s planned mobile soup kitchen, and will also subsidise basic computer skills certification for high school students and recent graduates.

After a morning of spirited competition, the winners emerged: First place: SASFO 2, Second place: Tea’d Up, a determined pair of ladies, Third place: Yogi Sip

Prizes included a selection of vouchers donated by generous local businesses, a gesture that highlighted the event’s strong community backing.

“This was a fantastic day,” said Paulette Fortune, Director of Gateway Projects. “We saw teamwork, laughter, and determination on every face. It’s proof that when the community comes together, we can make a real difference.”

The day’s festivities didn’t end at the finish line. Fortunes Business Hub hosted stalls where attendees enjoyed everything from Explorers Smash Burgers to Fortunes’ well-loved Bunny Chows, along with stalls from Animal Link, Fortfam Health, and Pharmindustry.

Gateway Projects has confirmed that the Scavenger Hunt will return next year, aiming for even more teams, bigger prizes, and a greater impact.
