Africa-Press – Eswatini. Local sport has received a significant boost ahead of this year’s Eswatini International Trade Fair, thanks to Mulasport, which donated E200 000 towards the tournament.

The sponsorship was officially presented yesterday at the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) offices in Mbabane, where representatives from the various sporting codes and cultural groups – volleyball, netball, basketball, and the Eswatini National Arts and Culture Council – gathered to receive the generous support.

Mulasport’s contribution has been allocated evenly among the benefiting teams, with Basketball receiving E50 000, Netball E50 000, Volleyball E50 000, and the Eswatini National Arts and Culture Council also receiving E50 000.

Speaking during the event, officials expressed gratitude to Mulasport for its continued investment in the development of sports and culture in the country. The donation will go a long way in ensuring that athletes and performers are well-prepared and motivated to showcase their talents during the highly anticipated Trade Fair and Exhibition, set to take place at Mavuso.

The Eswatini Netball Association (ENA) was among the key beneficiaries. In their remarks, ENA expressed appreciation for the opportunity to once again display the beauty and competitiveness of the sport on a national platform.

“We would love to thank Mulasport for giving Netball Eswatini an opportunity to showcase the talent and skills of our athletes at this year’s Trade Fair,” the association said. “We are well prepared, the draw has been finalized, and our teams are ready to deliver their A-game for the fans.”

With preparations now at an advanced stage, sports and culture lovers can expect thrilling action, fierce competition, and vibrant displays when the tournament kicks off at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre.
