DEADLINE NEARS FOR ESWATINI FIRMS TO JOIN FOOD EXPO

Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) has issued a final reminder to local food and beverage businesses that applications remain open to exhibit at the upcoming Kaohsiung Food Show 2025 (KFS) in Taiwan.

The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, 27 August 2025.

The prestigious event, scheduled to run from 23–26 October 2025 at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Centre, will see selected Eswatini companies participate under the Eswatini Pavilion, organised with support from EIPA and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). Interested businesses can apply online via: https://tinyurl.com/2025KFSForm.

The Kaohsiung Food Show is recognised as one of Asia’s premier food trade fairs, bringing together producers, distributors, importers, and retailers from across the globe. In 2024, the show attracted more than 320 exhibitors and nearly 16,000 visitors, including influential decision-makers in procurement and retail.

Highlighting the opportunity, Thandeka Dlamini, Manager External Trade Promotion at EIPA, said:

“This is a final call for Eswatini food and beverage businesses to seize the opportunity to access the Asian market, meet influential buyers, and showcase their products to thousands of international stakeholders. Exhibiting at KFS can open new doors for brand growth and export success.”

Participation at KFS is further strengthened by the Eswatini–Taiwan Economic Cooperation Agreement (ECA), which provides local exporters with tariff reductions and preferential trade terms. In 2024, bilateral trade between Eswatini and Taiwan reached US$8.19 million, with Eswatini’s exports increasing by more than 29% since 2017.

The initiative forms part of EIPA’s broader mission to position Eswatini’s high-quality food and beverage products on international platforms, helping businesses expand their global footprint and build sustainable export markets.

EIPA strongly encourages eligible businesses to apply before the 27 August deadline to secure their place in this valuable international trade showcase.
