Africa-Press – Eswatini. His Majesty King Mswati III has called for unity and peace in Mkhitsini, emphasizing that the development of Eswatini relies on the efforts of its communities.
The King’s plea for reconciliation was delivered through a high-powered delegation from the Liqoqo and Ludzidzini Council on Saturday, September 13,2025, in Mkhitsini.
Chief Mfukama Mndzebele has since returned from serving his sentence. This follows the tragic 2021 incident when Chief Mfukama Mndzebele shot and killed his brother’s son, which resulted in the burning of the Umphakatsi.
King’s Advisory Council Chairperson Paul Dlamini addressed the residents of Mkhitsini,first expressed relief of their well-being that they find them alive. “God wants us to stay happy. It is the devil who wants us fighting each other. God does not want that. Always listen to what God wants us to do, comfort each other, and stay in peace,” he said.
Speaking on behalf of His Majesty King Mswati III, Indvuna of Ludzidzini Royal Residence Themba Ginindza first sympathized with the community and urged forgiveness. “The King asks for a gift of peace. He encouraged the people to forget the past, turn a new page, and focus on the future. Incidents like this must not happen again. The King loves peace,” Ginindza said.
Umntfwane Nkhosi Mvana Mndzebele expressed gratitude for the King’s visit, saying it brought comfort and healing to the community.
The King’s message underscores the critical role of communities in the nation’s development, reminding all that lasting progress can only be achieved when peace and unity prevail at the grassroots level.
