From October 20,2025, government payments will be available at post offices nationwide, bringing services closer to citizens and reducing the need for long travel and queues. This was announced during the launch event of Phase 2 of the Revenue Takeover Project at the ERS Auditorium in Ezulwini.

The first phase of the rollout will see 16 post offices offering these services. In Hhohho: Mbabane, Swazi Plaza, Lobamba, and Pigg’s Peak; Manzini: Manzini, Matsapha, Malkerns, and Mankayane; Lubombo: Simunye, Siteki, Tshaneni, and Siphofaneni; and Shiselweni: Hlathikhulu, Nhlangano, and Hluthi.

Acting Minister of Finance, Honourable Apollo Maphalala, said the partnership is designed to make government services more accessible, efficient, and trustworthy. “This collaboration ensures that citizens can rely on government systems while enjoying convenient access to services, whether in urban centers or rural areas,” he noted.

ERS Commissioner General Brightwell Nkambule emphasized that the project marks a significant milestone in modernizing revenue collection. “By bringing services closer to the people, we save time and resources while ensuring a reliable, transparent, and accountable system,” he said.

Representing the Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology, Andreas Dlamini added that the initiative demonstrates the power of collaboration between state institutions, promoting an inclusive digital economy and improved access to government services for all Emaswati.

This rollout signals a major step toward citizen-focused, efficient, and transparent government service delivery, making it easier for everyone to pay bills without the hassle of long travel or waiting in queues.
