FUEL PRICE DROP BRINGS JOY TO ESWATINI MOTORISTS

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Smiles and sighs of relief are spreading across Eswatini this week as the cost of fuel takes a welcome dip. From midnight on Thursday, November 6, 2025 (effective Friday, November 7, 2025), drivers and households will begin to feel the positive impact of reduced fuel prices across all categories.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy has confirmed that the prices of Unleaded Petrol, Diesel (50ppm S) and Illuminating Paraffin will all decrease by 45 cents per litre, a move that comes as a boost for transport operators, farmers, and families alike.

New Prices to Ease Everyday Living
The revised prices are as follows:

– Unleaded Petrol (ULP95): down from E20.60 to E20.15 per litre

– Diesel (0.005% S): down from E21.00 to E20.55 per litre

– Illuminating Paraffin: down from E15.35 to E14.90 per litre

The Ministry attributed the decline to positive global and local economic shifts. During October, Brent crude oil traded lower at US$64 per barrel, compared to US$67 in September, while the Lilangeni gained strength, averaging E17.29 to the US dollar from E17.52 the previous month.

A Sign of Economic Stability

These encouraging indicators have combined to deliver good news for the nation’s fuel consumers. The Ministry highlighted that the stronger currency and falling oil prices have played a key role in easing domestic fuel costs.

Principal Secretary Lindiwe F. Mgingo expressed optimism that the price drop will bring financial relief to households and businesses, while encouraging citizens to continue using fuel wisely.

“The Ministry encourages the public to use fuel efficiently as international oil markets and the Lilangeni/Dollar exchange rate remain highly volatile,” she said.

Positive Impact for All

This development is expected to lower transport and production costs across sectors, bringing a ripple effect of relief to the cost of goods and services. With the festive season approaching, Eswatini motorists and consumers can look forward to extra savings and a brighter economic outlook.
