Africa-Press – Eswatini. Old Mutual Eswatini has officially raised the bar in the insurance industry following the launch of Sizotsa Funeral Cover, a groundbreaking product designed to offer dignity, speed, and unmatched family inclusivity.
The company announced that this new solution is fully accessible through WhatsApp, bringing essential financial services directly to the palms of Emaswati. Stakeholders and guests converged at the Happy Valley Hotel on February 6, 2026, to witness the unveiling of this solution, which the company describes as a direct response to the evolving needs of the Swati community.
Sizotsa Funeral Cover is a funeral policy that pays out a lump sum benefit in the event of the death of the main life, spouses, and children. It is specifically designed to cater to the traditional Swati family structure by offering the opportunity to cover an extensive range of relatives.
Remarkably, the policy can cater to up to 18 members, including:
Up to two parents and two parents-in-law.
Two grandparents.
Three aunts and three uncles.
Customers can choose between three flexible coverage options:
Sizotsa Sakho: Cover for the main member only.
Sizotsa Semndeni: Cover for the main member, two spouses, and up to six children.
Extended Family: Coverage for other dependents and additional relatives.
A Vision of Affordability and Accessibility
Addressing the audience, Old Mutual Eswatini Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Muzi Bell emphasized that Sizotsa is “a product born from listening” to families, brokers, and teams who demanded a solution that truly serves Eswatini. Mr. Bell identified the core pillars that make Sizotsa unique as affordability and accessibility. He noted that the product combines low-cost premiums with high responsiveness, ensuring every Liswati can access protection without the hurdle of medical underwriting.
“Sizotsa is more than a policy. It is a promise that we will stand with people when they need us most,” Bell stated.
