Africa-Press – Eswatini. Dumelang Saleshando, the Botswana Member of Parliament (MP) and leader of the opposition – the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) has called for consistency in supporting emaSwati attain democracy.
The BCP and other political parties in Botswana have a solidarity relationship with Eswatini main liberation movement, the People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO), the leader of the opposition said before being voted to power, they have been calling for democracy in Eswatini.
“I know that within your coalition, before the UDC assumed power, the BNF was very strong about the situation in Eswatini. What is the position of Government now, are we content that Eswatini deserves a repressive Monarchy?,” said the Botswana MP.
On another note, the MP accused the Monarchy of not only killing emaSwati inside Eswatini but, hunting even those hiding in other countries merely for calling for democracy.
“Why are we unable to remain consistent to the values we said, we stand for?”, said the MP when speaking in Parliament.
