Africa-Press – Eswatini. John Wesley Methodist Church congregation commemorated Palm Sunday with a vibrant street revival, journeying from Solanis to the church in a powerful display of faith and unity. The procession reflected the biblical account in Matthew 21:1–11, as worshippers joyfully marked the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ while preparing their hearts for Good Friday.
Led by Superintendent Rev. Annah Thwala, the congregation filled the streets with praise, song, and devotion. The revival brought together members of the church and the wider community, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere as participants walked in unity, echoing the message of hope and salvation.
Along the return journey, an Indian shop owner donated sweets, biscuits, and chips for the children, which were later presented in church. The gesture symbolised love, generosity, and the spirit of giving that defines the Christian faith, bringing smiles and joy to the young ones.
The Palm Sunday street revival not only strengthened fellowship among believers but also served as a meaningful reminder of the journey towards Good Friday, encouraging reflection, gratitude, and continued faith within the community.
