YOUNG ZESH TO DROP DEBUT ALBUM

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Young Zesh is set to release his debut album Ligcebesha, scheduled to drop next Friday.

Real name Mzwandile Ginindza, ‘Intwanencane’ said the album was already available for pre-order on all digital streaming platforms and would officially be launched on July 30, at Polar Park Shisanyama.

“This is my first album. I have always released cover songs and singles and my biggest cover was ‘Inhlupheko‘ by Big Zulu which I released in September last year. It was the biggest because it trended on Facebook and Tik Tok and that is when a lot of music lovers were introduced to my music,” he said. He further stated that it took him and his producer DJ Citie, about a year and half to create the album. Ginindza said he enjoyed the whole process as every day in the studio was a special moment for them since making music was therapeutic.

“Ligcebesha is a mixture of Afro Pop and Hip-Hop. I prefer that genre as through it I am able to tell our African stories the right way. There is also a bit of some reggae and afro beat elements in there.

I am a big fan of African music and I am happy that I was able to articulate that in the album as that is what inspires me,” explained Young Zesh.

He narrated his musical journey and experience as one that has not been easy. He said this was due to the fact that the country and environment did not allow creatives to shine. The artist said limited resources for musicians restricted them growing as musicians and he thanked his label for making the album a reality.

“A big thank you to my management team and record label, Upscale Live which I joined in April this year. It has been smooth sailing and there is a lot of promises in terms of where I see my career heading. They have created a great working environment that allows us to be who we want to be. I applaud and appreciate them for their commitment in building our music industry,” he said.

Young Zesh then thanked everyone one who supported him throughout this album journey. He appreciated the effort from every artist that he worked with on the project including the production team.

“I really appreciate everyone’s input as without you, all this would not have been possible. Let us meet at Polar Park Shisanyama to celebrate Eswatini music and launch this amazing body of work,” he added.

Fun lovers were advised that early bird tickets would be available at Shoprite stores nationwide selling at E40. He asked that people come through to support ‘Intwanencane’ promising a great musical experience.

“The album’s copies will be available on pre-order. People can DM us on our social media pages for orders or alternatively reach out to my management through email [email protected]. You can also call or text +268 7668 7356,” he said.
