Africa-Press – Eswatini. Talk of jumping from the flying pan into the blazing fire.

This is the situation Mbabane Highlanders find themselves in as MTN Premier League action continues. The black and white capital giants are fresh from a baptism of fire as they were whipped 3-0 by Correctional side Green Mamba over the past weekend at KaLanga Technical Centre in Siteki. While they are still licking their wounds, they face the uncompromising log leaders and army side Young Buffaloes in their next outing. This is according to Week 12 fixtures released by the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) through the office of Football Manager Pat Vilakati yesterday afternoon.

This game, which will decide the destiny of the E100 000 first round ‘carrot’, is billed for Mavuso Sports Centre on Saturday. It will be preceded by another exciting match-up between Denver Sundowns, who are still celebrating their 1-0 victory over defending champions Royal Leopard and Moneni Pirates who beat rookies Madlenya with the same margin in a game played at Mavuso on Saturday.

The Prince of Wales Sports Ground will play host to another double-header pitting Manzini Sea Birds who are still licking their wounds. The latter were hammered 4-1 by Buffaloes. This fixture will be a curtain-raiser for the relegation battle between table proppers Manzini Wanderers and rookies Seven Dreams. The former suffered their eighth loss of the season at the hands of Mbabane Swallows, who beat them 2-0 at Mavuso Sports Centre this past Saturday. Seven Dreams, on the other hand, shared the spoils with Nsingizini Hotspurs in a 2-all draw. The week 12 games of the league will be played in five different venues across the country on Saturday.
