The University of Eswatini (UNESWA) announced the re-activation of the BOLESWA Intervarsity Games on Thursday, 6 February 2026, marking the end of a pause caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The revival was celebrated in a press briefing attended by UNESWA leadership and student representatives, signalling the return of regional unity and athletic excellence.
The games, which bring together universities from Botswana, Lesotho, and Eswatini, provide a platform not only for sports competition but also for cultural exchange, leadership development, and regional integration.
The 2026 edition will be hosted by the National University of Lesotho from 8 to 13 March 2026. UNESWA is inviting the corporate sector, alumni, and the public to support the event through financial or in-kind contributions.
