Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Buckswood School pupils and their leadership have again assisted in re-building a house for Philile Matsebula from Lukhetseni near Tikhuba.

The pupils were in the country as part of their annual charity work to experience life in Eswatini.

The group, led by Principal Giles Sutton left the country for the United Kingdom over the weekend.

The pupils left Matsebula, who lives with her five children a happy person after rebuilding the house, which was gutted by fire a few weeks ago. The group was doing charity work around the area when they noticed the damage to the family’s only house.

“The team was told about what happened to the house and they took it upon themselves to help the Matsebula family. The pupils dug into their pockets and bought building material as well as other essential items including clothing, bedding, mattresses, clothes and toys,” said Sutton. He stated that the pupils were always taught to treat others in a way they would love to be treated themselves.

“This was not an act of charity but of humankind. The Buckswood pupils spent a lovely afternoon playing with the family and it was truly heart-warming,” he said.
