Africa-Press – Eswatini. In a significant move to boost local enterprise recognition, the CEO of Business Eswatini, E. Nathi Dlamini, has been named Chairman of the Jury for the upcoming 2025 Made in Eswatini Consumer Choice Awards.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday, 25 July 2025 at a venue yet to be confirmed in Mbabane.
The announcement was made by Chairman of A Peculiar People Melusi Zox Dlamini, the organisation behind the awards. “We were absolutely thrilled to learn that Mr. Dlamini has accepted our invitation,” said Melusi. “His leadership and credibility will bring immense value to this platform, which aims to celebrate and elevate the very best of Eswatini’s home-grown brands.”
As Chair, he will oversee a panel of adjudicators tasked with evaluating and recognizing the most trusted and outstanding consumer brands made within the Kingdom. His leadership is expected to ensure a fair and insightful adjudication process.

It’s worth highlighting that nomination for the awards close on 14 June 2025. Voting opens: 20 June 2025 and closes on 20 July 2025.
According to Dlamini already, over 100 products from across the country have been nominated. The awards aim to spotlight local excellence across sectors and recognize the brands that resonate most with Eswatini consumers.
“This initiative gives everyday consumers the power to shine a spotlight on the brands they trust and love,” said Melusi Zox Dlamini. “The Made in Eswatini Consumer Choice Awards are a celebration of the creativity, resilience, and excellence of our people.”

Be Made in Eswatini
Be legally registered and trading
Have a distinct brand identity
Be traceable via digital platforms
Winning brands will receive a Symbol of Excellence, a visual endorsement designed to build buyer confidence, elevate marketing potential, and attract both corporate and consumer interest. “This conferment is a mark of trust,” Melusi added. “It tells the world that these are brands worth investing in, promoting, and celebrating.”With Mr. E. Nathi Dlamini guiding the adjudication process, this year’s Consumer Choice Awards are positioned to set new standards in transparency, consumer empowerment, and local brand recognition.
