Africa-Press – Eswatini. After much speculation surrounding his next move, Mbabane Swallows have finally unveiled Caleb Ngwenya as their new head coach and Siza ‘King Pele’ Dlamini as their physical trainer.

This was announced by Mbabane Swallows governor Sebenele Nhlengetfwa during a press conference held at the club’s offices yesterday.

Ngwenya joins the team from MTN National First Division (NFD) side Ezulwini United while Dlamini joins from Nsingizini Hotspurs.

The Beautiful Birds parted ways with former trainer Siyabonga Bhembe last week after terminating his contract and cited poor performances.

Nhlengetfwa said they were happy to have the experienced pair join their ranks, highlighting that they were the right candidates for the job.

“On behalf of the club President Bishop Lukhele, I would like to announce some changes to our technical bench. Mr. Caleb Ngwenya will be othe new head coach of the team while Siza Dlamini will join as the club’s new physical trainer. Our president is someone who is results driven and we are confident they will help us get the right results and achieve the targets we have set for the rest of the season,” he said.

New structure

The governor went on to share what the new structure of the new technical bench would look like, with former head coach Musa Manyatsi remaining at the club in a new roles of assistant and goalkeeper coach.

“Our new structure for the technical bench will see coach Ngwenya as head coach, Musa Manyatsi will now be the assistant coach while Siza Dlamini will be our physical trainer and he will be assisted by Max Ramalho,” he said.

He further went on to thank the clubs that had agreed to release the respective coaches to work with them.

“We would like to thank Ezulwini United and Nsingizini Hotspurs for releasing their respective coaches and would like to clarify that nobody was poached,” he said.

The pair has been given the mandate to ensure they maintain and improve the club’s current performances in order to restore the Beautiful Birds on their perch as the country’s top side.

The club is also hoping that these new additions would help them return to CAF continental football at the end of the season.

Ngwenya’s first assignment will be next Saturday against fellow crowd-pullers Manzini Wanderers at Mavuso Sports Centre.
