Africa-Press – Eswatini. MBABANE Highlanders want away defender Simphiwe ‘Cheese’ Manana has reportedly taken the team to the Players Status Committee (PSC).

Manana is claiming that his former team is refusing to issue his clearance as he intends to join Manzini Wanderers in the current transfer window.

The towering defender tendered his resignation at Highlanders two days before the 2022 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup match against Royal AM for alleged breach of contract.

The matter will be heard by the five member committee headed by lawyer Sipho Matse.

Manana was one of the longest serving players in the black and white outfit having joined the club four seasons ago from Mbabane City.

He will become the third player to join the hub giants from Highlanders after midfielder Menzi Mamba and goalkeeper Phila Mamba.

Efforts to get a comment from the player proved futile after his mobile phone rang unaswerered.

Mbabane Highlanders Chief Executive Officer Clement Dlamini said he was not aware of the matter.
