Commerce Minister Mancoba Khumalo urges companies to start exporting under the newly launched African Continental Free Trade Area(AfCFTA)

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mancoba Khumalo, the Minister of Commerce,Industry and Trade has urged local companies to start importing goods under the newly launched African Continental Free Trade Area(AfCFTA).

Established in 2018 through the African Continental Free Trade Agreement, AfCFTA) promotes trade and economic growth within the African continent.

“The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade is, therefore, informing all exporting companies that they can now export under AfCFTA, following the launch of the start of trade by all SACU countries as if 31 January 2024, and increase their reach to countries in West and North Africa including those above sub-Saharan Africa”, reads a press statement released by the Commerce Minister on Monday.
