Africa-Press – Eswatini. Old-school car lovers celebrate a smooth and unforgettable weekend. The Toyota Toycam Crew’s visit to Eswatini turned out to be a roaring success as vintage car enthusiasts from both Eswatini and South Africa united for a weekend of classic car celebration.

The convoy of gleaming Toyota Cressidas rolled through Matsapha, Kwaluseni, Manzini, Ngwane Park, and Fairview, drawing waves, smiles, and admiration from the public. Spectators lined the streets to witness the parade of timeless machines, their engines humming with nostalgia and pride.

Zweli Vilakati, the youngest and first Swazi member of the South Africa-based crew, expressed deep satisfaction with how the event unfolded. “Everything went smoothly beyond my expectations,” he said. “The turnout was great, and the love we received from the people of Eswatini truly made this event special.”

The convoy, which began on Friday with the arrival of about 25 cars from South Africa, continued to grow as local old-school car lovers joined in. Saturday’s main event saw an impressive lineup of vintage models cruising the streets, while Sunday marked the crew’s farewell as they departed back to South Africa.

Vilakati highlighted that the event was not only about showcasing cars but also about celebrating unity and passion. “We came together as a family of car enthusiasts, and it was beautiful to see people appreciating these classics,” he added.

The Toyota Toycam Crew, formed in 2020 in Johannesburg during the COVID-19 pandemic, continues to uphold the spirit of brotherhood and preservation of automotive heritage. With the success of their Eswatini visit, Vilakati hinted that this might not be the last time the crew cruises through the Kingdom.

“After such a warm welcome and smooth experience, I’m confident Eswatini will remain on our map for future events,” he concluded with a smile.
