Africa-Press – Eswatini. UNESWA, formerly known as the University of Swaziland, has faced challenges and criticisms regarding the postponement of enrollment for first-year students and the overall student experience.Concerns have been raised about the university’s status as the highest institution of learning in the country. The frustration among students and the public is evident, with issues such as water and electricity shortages, as well as the recent postponement of first-year enrollment, contributing to a sense of dissatisfaction and concern about the university’s standing.
Declining
As a former student of the university, I am expressing worries about the institution’s declining status and its ability to cater for the well-being of students, other colleges in the country may be better equipped to support students and involve them in decision-making processes.
Engagement
The lack of student engagement in decision-making and the potential compromise of students’ futures due to the university’s actions that have been highlighted. I urge the need for the university to address these issues promptly, to regain its former status and avoid becoming history.
Concerns
The University of Eswatini’s status as the highest institution of learning in the country has been called into question due to concerns about student well-being and the decision-making process at the university. Is it still an achievement to get acceptance into the university as it used to be back in the days? I doubt!
