DEMAND FOR A SALARY INCREMENT: Armed junior police officers invade Prime Minister Cleopas Dlamini’s home

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Armed junior police officers driving in private cars,invaded the home of eSwatini Prime Minister Cleopas Sipho Dlamini on Thursday morning, they are demanding a salary increment under Phase Two(2).

This comes hardly 24-hours after the press reported that junior officers were planning to invade homes for senior officers and Cabinet Ministers in demand for their money.

“We are here at Nhlambeni but we received information that the Prime Minister is not here but is at another home at Mahlanya. So, now we are going back to our meeting point to receive orders from our Secretary General,” said a junior police officer.

Efforts to reach Sergeant Dumsile Khumalo, the Police Staff Association Secretary General proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.

Tension is escalating within the police service, police are demanding a salary increment.
