DOMINIC ANNOUNCES COSAFA CUP FINAL SQUAD

Africa-Press – Eswatini. SIHLANGU Semnikati head coach Dominic Kunene has announced his final 23- member squad for the COSAFA Cup.

Kunene retained a majority of his troops who featured for the nation’s pride during the previous edition where the team secured a bronze medal in Gqeberha.

The competition starts on Tuesday until July 17 in Durban.The former Young Buffaloes mentor has left out Mxolisi Manana from Green Mamba, Sea Birds duo of Muzi Tsabedze and Mthokozisi Gwebu. Two international players in Bonginkhosi ‘Manyovu’ Dlamini and Justice Figareido were also not included in the tentative squad.

Making his debut in the team is newly-signed Royal Leopard defender and former Vovovo skipper Simanga ‘Stina’ Masangane after impressing in his maiden season with Vovovo.

Sihlangu will begin their campaign against Mauritius on July 6 at King Zwelithini Stadium followed by Malawi two days later at the same venue.

They will complete their group stage games against familiar opponents Lesotho on July 10 before preparing for the knockout phase should they qualify.
