Africa-Press – Eswatini. An amount of E10.9 million was collected from three gaming establishments in the country from April 2023 to December 2023.

This is contained in the performance report of the Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Affairs for the financial year 2023/24. The report states that E10 974 783 was collected for the three quarters (April to December 2023).

The report states that E4 549 219 was collected from these establishments during the period between October and December 2023. During that time, inspections were also conducted in these establishments to see if they were still operating according to expectations.

According to the report, collections for the short term promotions in this industry ended up being E11 089 710. The Gaming Unit within the Ministry, according to the report, continues to monitor developments in the gaming sector and roped in services of the police.
