Africa-Press – Eswatini. FC Barcelona announced on its social media accounts on Wednesday that it has signed a sponsorship agreement with EgyptAir until the 2028/2029 season.
Under the agreement, EgyptAir will be a global partner of the Catalan team and will hold the exclusive official airline partner status for the men’s first football team, the basketball team, and the handball team.
Players from the handball team will wear the EgyptAir logo on the front of their jerseys during matches, along with various marketing benefits that will be granted to the company.
FC Barcelona stated that this agreement is part of EgyptAir’s plan to expand its fleet and international route network, demonstrating the company’s commitment to continuously improving its services and providing exceptional travel experiences.
Additionally, the club noted that the agreement represents an opportunity to expand the global reach of the Barcelona brand, connect with new markets, and enhance its position worldwide.
Mark Bruix, Director of Global Sponsorship at the Catalan team, commented: “Linking FC Barcelona with EgyptAir, a leader in international aviation, is a natural step in our expansion journey. It is worth noting that EgyptAir is the national airline of Egypt, based in Cairo, and was established in 1932, making it one of the oldest airlines in the Middle East and Africa.
