Africa-Press – Eswatini. Emaswati can now apply to work in farms in the United States of America.
This is after the USA released a registration link for any new candidates who would like to register to work there.
This comes after the USA added Eswatini to the list of countries eligible to participate in the H-2A and H-2B visa program next year.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Thuli Dladla revealed that the link https://zurl.to/42C could be completed from any mobile phone.
She said it required basic information on the candidate registering and once completed, the candidate would receive an email from USA Farm Labour with login details so that the candidate could complete their online profile.

She noted though that it was a lengthy process and could not be done on a mobile phone.
She said it needed to be completed on a computer or laptop.
“Once the candidate has fully completed the profile, they will be assessed to see if they qualify to be marketed or if they need to gain more experience in the agricultural sector.
Farm4USA does not do H2B visas at the moment. It is a more specialised field, but they are currently looking into other ventures such as H2B and EB3.
“Other agents that might be able to assist are Away-to-explore, a company that supply H2B workers to the Carnivals in the USA and they can be contacted at https://www.away2xplore.com/. Another one is Hospitality Staffing Solutions can help with H2B visas for workers in the hospitality field and their website is www.hssstafing.com,” she said.
Giving a background, the minister also noted that the above was a result of fruitful engagements between the ministry and the Embassy of the United States of America in Mbabane, wherein the former sought the assistance of the latters government in availing a wide range of employment opportunities to Emaswati in various sectors.
She said the H-2A and H-2B visa programmes allowed U.S. employers to bring foreign nationals to the United States to fill temporary jobs.
She encouraged Emaswati to visit the above link to familiarise themselves with the types of jobs they could apply for and the procedure and requirements for doing so. Further, Minister Dladla elaborated that this inclusion would open opportunities to work in different sectors, including agriculture and tourism.

She said they worked hard after discovering how the truck drivers were being treated, degraded, disrespected and harshly treated in the neighbouring countries just because they sought employment in order to provide for their families.
“This treatment touched His Majesty the King Mswati III who instructed us to work on this quickly. Fortunately, USA Ambassador Jeanne Maloney took over and worked on this with expedience. The agricultural jobs will be seasonal, at six months and there are recruitment agencies that will be used to recruit through H-2A for agriculture.
“The H-2B includes the other variety of sectors like hospitality, entertainment and landscaping.
We will prepare the list of the sectors and release it. On behalf of the government of the Kingdom of Eswatini, the ministry wishes to take this opportunity to thank the Government of the United States of America, through their Embassy in Ezulwini, for the fruitful outcome to the discussions,” she said.
