Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Ministry of Labour and Social Security has announced the availability of 15 undergraduate scholarships for deserving emaSwati to study in the Kingdom of Morocco for the academic year 2025–2026.
The scholarships are offered through the Moroccan International Cooperation Agency (AMCI) and are open to suitably qualified applicants who wish to pursue studies at Moroccan public universities, higher institutions, and vocational training centres.
Of the 15 available scholarships, only five are fully funded and awarded by Al Akhawayn University, Morocco’s premier English-speaking higher education institution.
To qualify for these highly competitive awards, applicants must have attained a minimum average of 95% in their most recent high school results.
According to the ministry’s statement, applicants must be between the ages of 19 and 23 and should have completed their high school education in 2024.
Selection for the scholarships is based on institutional requirements, the study field, space availability, and academic performance.

A major component of the programme is the French language. Since most institutions in Morocco use French as a language of instruction,
successful candidates will be required to undergo French language training during the 2025/2026 academic year at the International Language Centre in Rabat.
Only those who pass the preparatory programme will proceed to their allocated academic fields.
The scholarship package includes a monthly stipend of 1,750 Moroccan Dirhams (approximately E1,800 or USD 175), a one-way ticket to Morocco at the start of the course and a return ticket upon completion, as well as insurance.
However, the stipend is a living allowance and does not cover enrolment fees, boarding, local transportation, or any other study-related expenses, which remain the student’s responsibility.
Interested applicants are advised to visit https://tinyurl.com/moroccoapplication2025 to read more and access the application form.
Required documents include certified copies of school certificates, national ID, police clearance, a medical fitness report, and passport-sized photos.
The deadline for submission of all completed application forms and supporting documents is 28 July 2025.
Applications must be submitted to the scholarship office located on the ground floor of the Old Income Tax Building (etolishini).
Principal Secretary Makhosini Mndawe urged interested emaSwati to make use of the rare opportunity.
