Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF) has officially recognised some of its longest-serving and most dedicated tenants, marking a shift from traditional property management to a strategic partnership model.

At the Lidlelantfongeni Stakeholder Recognition Awards on Thursday, February 12, 2026, Chief Executive Officer Futhi Tembe highlighted a vital truth: every building in the Fund’s portfolio is an asset owned by the working people of Eswatini.

“Property is more than bricks and mortar; it is a shared investment,” Tembe told the audience. “Every on-time rent payment protects a member’s retirement, and every act of stewardship strengthens the long-term security of thousands of EmaSwati retirees.”

The ceremony celebrated tenants who have viewed their premises not merely as rented square footage but as homes and hubs for growth, worthy of care and dignity. Tembe noted that for many awardees, this relationship has spanned more than two decades, fostering a level of trust that goes far beyond a standard commercial transaction.

It is worth noting that while the ENPF took the opportunity to celebrate its distinguished long-term partners, officials noted that logistical constraints prevented the hosting of every valued member of the tenant community at this specific event.

“Today is not simply about recognising those who pay rent on time,” Tembe explained. “It is about celebrating relationships that have stood the test of time and honouring those who see themselves as long-term partners rather than temporary occupants”.
