ESWATINI AIR CELEBRATES ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Africa-Press – Eswatini. The local airline turned one. It was officially launched last year, and local stakeholders had the privilege of flying the maiden flight to Johannesburg.

The CEO of Eswatini Airways, Qiniso Dhlamini, posted on the official Facebook page about the journey and challenges of the airwaves.

“I am immensely honoured to witness our flagship, Eswatini Air, reaching this significant milestone. While we officially launched Eswatini Air in 2023, the taxing journey towards that auspicious occasion started much earlier. In the build-up to the launch and since, our staff has shown their professionalism and confidence, and I am both proud and grateful,” Dhlamini said.

Dhlamini also saluted all their esteemed stakeholders. “We salute you for your loyalty and support. As a start-up airline, the deck was loaded against us, and as expected, we had a few teething problems, but your loyalty and patriotism have helped us overcome these challenges to celebrate this auspicious day together,” he said.

The CEO added that they were counting on the stakeholders for their continued unwavering support going forward, as they are the true engine that will propel Eswatini Air forward and upward.

He wanted to highlight that as they embark on their second year, they will take all the lessons learned thus far and recalibrate Eswatini Air’s strategic plans to ensure further value creation for our stakeholders and sustainability for the airline.

“Let us take this moment to celebrate our achievements and use it as a springboard for even greater heights. We remain committed to connecting Eswatini to the world, deepening ties within SADC, enabling easy movement for our people and businesses, fostering tourism, and providing exceptional service that reflects the warmth and hospitality of our nation,” the CEO stated.

He concluded by saying that it was his sincere belief that with the stakeholders’ continued support, they would achieve all of these and more.
