Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini and Chad have agreed to strengthen relations and forge any trade and investment relations where possible.

Monday (April 22, 2024), Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini met with Chad’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Abdoulaye Mbodou Mbami at Private and Cabinet Offices in Hospital Hill, Mbabane. Minister Mbami is also the President of the Africa Gulf International Cooperation (AGIC) National Steering Committee. The Hon. Minister was accompanied by the President and founder of the AGIC, Ambassador Dr. Al Hussein O.E. Banao.

The aim of the visit, according to the prime minister, was to strengthen relations between the two countries, as well as to promote investment and partnership under the Pan African banner. “His Majesty’s Government is open and willing to engage and partner with serious investors and therefore hopes that the discussions can be followed by successful investments,” Dlamini said.

According to its own website (africgulf.com), AGIC finances and provides advice for private sector ventures and projects in developing countries in partnership with private investors and, through its advisory work. The organisation has 150 workers from around the world, with 110 clients from Africa, whom are described by the organisation as being happy. The organisation also has 10 offices across Africa.
