According to an official press statement released on March 27, 2026, Mr. Pheap Rom was safely returned to his home country, Cambodia, following coordinated efforts between Eswatini and international partners.
The process was facilitated through strong collaboration between the Government of Eswatini and the Cambodian government, with additional support from the International Organization for Migration (IOM). This partnership ensured a smooth and dignified return, reflecting global best practices in migration management.
