Eswatini Labour Minister Phila Buthelezi Establishes Task Team to Investigate Workers Rights Violation as per the International Labour Organization(Ilo) Directive

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Phila Buthelezi, the Minister of Labour and Social Security has established a Task Team to investigate the ongoing violation of workers rights in the country.

This is in accordance with the recommendations of the International Labour Organization(ILO) after eSwatini trade unions reported various incidents of workers rights violations,including but not limited to, the firing of a teargas inside a bus and shooting of teachers and other civil servants, the Task Team was announced on Monday.

Efforts to seek a comment from Mduduzi Gina, the Secretary General of the Trade Union Congress of Swaziland(TUCOSWA) proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.

Eswatini, a tiny Kingdom ruled by King Mswati as an absolute Monarch,is marred by violation of workers rights perpetrated by the Government,workers are shoot, assaulted and killed during protests.
