Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini women rights groups marched to the United States(US) Embassy-Ezulwini on Friday morning demanding the repatriation of the five(5) dangerous criminals dumped in eSwatini by the President Donald Trump administration.

The criminals are from Jamaica, Cuba, Vietnam, Laos and Yemen, they were previously convicted of murder and child rape according to a statement issued by the United States Department of Homeland Security.

A flight from the US, transporting the criminals arrived on Wednesday in the tiny Southern African Kingdom ruled as an absolute Monarchy and, with close diplomatic ties to the United States.

But tension is escalating within the Kingdom amid fears the criminals might escape and rape women and children, the eSwatini Government released a statement assuring citizens that, these dangerous criminals “are not a danger to State security contrary to a statement released by the US suggesting that, the deportees were rejected by their respective countries”.

Over thirty(30) women rights organizations were represented during the delivery of the petition and this, include One Billion Rising, the Swaziland Rural Women Assembly(SRWA), Liphimbo LaBoMake and Eswatini Sexual and Gender Minorities(ESGM) among others.

Speaking during the delivery of the petition, Colani Hlatjwako, the One Billion Rising Eswatini Coordinator said as women, they “are concerned” about their safety.

“Eswatini is currently facing a serious crisis of violence, including widespread incidents of murder and rape.Despite this, individuals with a history of serious crimes from the United States are reportedly being sent into the country,”said the Coordinator of One Billion Rising, a women rights advocacy organization.
