The player, who made his name with Denver Sundowns, left Umkhonto KaShaka at the end of the 2022/23 season. His stellar performance for the Under-23s saw him getting a call-up from the senior squad.
Debut
The former Denver Sundowns crafty midfielder made his official debut for the ‘Stallions’ of Sierra Leone during the recent International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) week in a game against Benin. His Agent Alhassan Kamara, when giving the latest updates on the player, said he was on the verge of joining a Thai Club called Bangkok United. “He is in Asia at the moment to make a big money move; he should have signed last week as he arrived there a few days ago, but unfortunately, Sierra Leone invited him to play for the senior team on the FIFA date. The name of the team that he will sign for is Bangkok United,” Kamara said.
He also revealed that Kabia was expected to sign a four-year contract in the region of US$35 000, which is equivalent to E668 199 as of yesterday’s exchange rate. Meanwhile, Kabia made headlines when he shunned the ‘Birds’ activities after he was instructed by Kamara, who was demanding E20 000 signing-on-fee for him.
