AFTER their painful exit in the CAF Confederation Cup, Royal Leopard managed to bounce back, beating Vovovo 6-2 during an MTN Premier League match at the Prince of Wales Ground yesterday.
Captain Muzi ‘Mzoro’ Dlamini was their hero of the day as he netted a quadruple to help his team cut Mbabane Highlanders’ lead to one point at the top of the log table.
The police side has 42 points, a point shy of Mbabane Highlanders.
The match started on a high tempo with the teams coming hard at each other.

‘Mzoro’ opened the scorer’s chart in the 17th minute after outpacing defenders to make it 1-0.
Vovovo lost shape after the goal, allowing the opposition to dictate terms.
‘Mrozo’ scored the second goal nine minutes later with Leopard taking total control of the match.
Bongani Dlamini scored the third goal for Leopard as they were all over the opposition.
Moments later, the Motshane based outfit re-grouped and pushed numbers forward.
They eventually pulled one back in the 32nd minute through Bandile to make it 3-1.
Their joy was, however, was short-lived as ‘Mrozo’ completed this hat-trick in the 35th minute after beating the goalkeeper with a hard shot.
Vovovo reduced the deficit two minutes later through Simanga as the match went to the break with the police side leading 4-2. Leopard proved too strong in the second half as they continued to tear the opposition apart.
After getting instructions from coach Edwin Matsebula, the blue and white ensemble scored two more goals in the second half.
It was ‘Mzoro’ again who finished off a decent pass from Barry Steenkamp inside the box in the 63rd minute.
Leopard continued piling pressure on Vovovo with Thokozani Dlamini, who was introduced in the second half finding the back of the net in the 86th minute to finish the game at 6-2 in favour of the police side.
