GOSPEL ARTISTS THRILL AT INAUGURAL CROSSOVER SHOW

Africa-Press – Eswatini. GOSPEL music lovers were taken to the golden days when the Police Gospel Messengers hosted their inaugural crossover show at Swazi National High School.

The show turned out to be a great success.

The event, according to Zakhele Ginindza, the co-founder of the group, is the beginning of many more shows which they will host in partnership with A1 Battery Clinic.

It was a joyful night for gospel music lovers as they enjoyed music delivered by local and South African artists.

One of the highlights was when the congregation was led to a countdown to the New Year by Apostle Matse.

Excitement was written all over the faces of the gospel fans as they were making the countdown for the clock to tick to midnight so they could celebrate and thank God for another year.

The skies were painted with different colours by the fireworks which were being blasted from the neighbouthood.

“Let us all get our hands together and celebrate this time which God has presented to us.

“As we cross to the New Year tell all the challenges and the enemies of your progress that God has presented you another chance, the mountain that was before you will be overcome in the name of Jesus.

The challenges are all going to evaporate in the name of Jesus,” said Apostle Matse. Ginindza said they had already declared the show as an annual event which would be bigger and better next year.

“We are excited to confirm that we have an arrangement with the company and gospel music lovers will be treated to more of similar shows.

During Easter weekend we are looking at hosting another event because the plan is to bring back gospel music shows for the people. We are grateful for the support received from the sponsors and the many people who turned up for the event despite the bad weather which was threatening to disrupt our plans,” he said.

Ginindza said they were also excited that the artists they had invited also came through and performed for their fans. The show was headlined by the hosting group, Police Gospel Messengers formerly known as Matsapha Gospel Messengers.

This was an outdoor event set-up at the school’s premises allowing for many people to attend.

The wet weather did not dampen the spirits of gospel music lovers defied all odds to be part of the exciting night.

Nduduzo Matse, who is one of the country’s gospel heads, congratulated the hosts for the amazing show. Matse who is also a pastor and event organiser of note, said this was a beautiful start and added that the show has a huge potential for growth.
