Africa-Press – Eswatini. Hilton Garden Inn Mbabane yesterday welcomed Alex Humphrey, Vice President of Safety & Security EMEA, on his first official visit to Eswatini.

Humphrey, joined by Sameh Haridy, Hilton Director of Safety and Security for AIO & EKSAL, received a warm Eswatini reception, reflecting the Kingdom’s renowned hospitality and culture.

The visit highlights Hilton’s focus on strengthening relationships with its teams, industry partners, and local stakeholders.

Speaking during the welcome, Humphrey said the trip was a key opportunity to engage directly with Hilton staff and industry leaders.

“Our goal is to build strong partnerships, enhance safety standards, and support our teams who are the backbone of Hilton’s success,” he said.

The visit includes meetings with top stakeholders, such as the Public Pension Fund, NATCOM, the Eswatini Tourism Authority, the US Embassy Consulate, and the Minister of Tourism, Jane Simelane. Discussions will explore avenues for mutual growth, security collaboration, and business development.

Humphrey will also tour a local museum to immerse himself in Eswatini’s rich cultural heritage. Hilton management described the visit as a milestone in deepening ties between the company, government agencies, and the tourism sector.

Sameh Haridy added, “This visit allows us to understand our teams on the ground and ensure we provide them with the support and resources needed to thrive. Their success is integral to Hilton’s growth in the region.”

The inaugural visit sets the stage for long-term collaboration, with Hilton leadership and local partners emphasizing shared benefits, stronger safety standards, and sustainable growth in Eswatini.
