Africa-Press – Eswatini. King Mswati has once again pledged to lead eSwatini while putting the interests of the people first.
Addressing the Nation at Mankayane during his fifty-sixth(56th) Birthday Celebration on Friday, the King said; “Inkhosi yiNkhosi ngebantfu”,meaning: A King is a King by his people.
“As King, entrusted to lead emaSwati, I pledge to continue to lead with the best interests of the people at heart and in the footsteps of my predecessors. As we say in our culture, a King will always be King by his people; iNkhosi, yiNkhosi ngebantfu.However, the most effective development for a country is one in which people make a conscious effort to unify around a common goal of improving lives and believe in their collective potential to make a difference in their communities”, said the King as quoted by Government online platforms.
The King further noted the ongoing development in the country saying, this “is remains a great encouragement to work towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).
