Africa-Press – Eswatini. At only 24 years old Lungelo Nonduduzo Maziya is already doing great things in Eswatini by simply being innovate and creating a cocktail business.
Her brand name is extremely creative and there is no way you cannot want to purchase what Zuzu’s Icy Blast has to offer.
We all know that the prime for partying hard and not being serious about life is the twenties however for Maziya It has been a year and six months since she started it her business.
Sharing why she took the bold step to do Zuzu’s Icy Blast, she said that she always had a passion for business and to become her own boss, and most importantly the reason of less job opportunities.
Asked to share what exactly Zuzu’s Icy Blast is, she shared that it is a cocktail business with invented cocktail recipes.
“It only takes me three to five minutes to make one. Not only I am doing beverages but also in the process of expanding to food recipes “Maziya said.
“To my fellow age mates I would like us to take the advantage and think of innovate ideas and turn them around into business and lets start making money” Maziya said.
“One of the biggest advantages of getting started with entrepreneurship at a young age is the opportunity to learn important skills such as teamwork, networking, problem-solving, critical thinking, innovation, self-discipline, etc. All these skills can help in school performance and later in life” she shared.
She further said that in the situation of a global crisis when many have lost their jobs, the risk of getting excluded from the labour market becomes higher among youth. The COVID-19 crisis impacted youth in different ways such as income loss, disruption to on-job training and learning, increased difficulties for employment, and even poor quality of employment.
“On the other hand, when young entrepreneurs start a business, they also create jobs not only for their peers but for people of different ages in need of an occupation. So I would like to advise my peers to go out there and let’s create jobs. We are the change the country needs!” Maziya shared.
She also shared that what excites her the most by the line of work she has chosen is that she can have fun and also make money. Examples she has shared where she has been able to have stalls at Mdzimba View and Velvet Monkey and she proudly said that she was successfully supported.
Asked where she promotes her business she said she has an Instagram page called @Zuzu’s icy blasts where she posts her content.
In closing she shared that even though getting started with entrepreneurship can have many advantages at a younger age, it does not mean that older people cannot succeed. Everyone who has a good idea and willingness to turn it into reality can become successful and a source of inspiration for others.
