INYATSI DONATES E100K FOOD, BLANKETS TO RAIN VICTIMS

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Inyatsi Group has become the latest in one of the organisations that have come through for the victims of the heavy rains that are received by the country.

The company has donated food, blankets, and other items worth about E100 000 to the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office (DPMO). The donations took place on January 17, 2025 at the DPMO in Mbabane. The donations were received by Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Thulisile Dladla.

Speaking during the donation, Inyatsi Group’s Marketing and Public Relations Manager Ncobile Dlamini said as a company rooted in Eswatini, it was the duty of her company to take care of Emaswati. She said they stood with every family impacted by this situation. She said they also heeded to the “Nkwe” command issued by His Majesty King Mswati III during Sibaya in 2023, and they took it upon themselves to abide by that command in giving help to those that would be in need.

National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) Chief Executive Officer Victor Mahlalela thanked Inyatsi Group for providing the aid for the victims. He stated that as an agency, they were working so hard to provide relief to the affected people. He said the homes that were directly affected by this incident were around 630.

Mahlalela mentioned that they had a task of reaching out to all those homes because they had lost a lot, including food and other important materials such as books and stationery that could be used by children to learn in school. Lives of these people had been negatively affected by this situation, hence they had to reach out to them as soon as possible, according to the CEO.

Dladla also expressed gratitude to Inyatsi Group for the kind gesture, stating that the items would reach the rightful beneficiaries. Dladla said at the moment, NDMA was building houses for the affected people and the items, such as the blankets would be used by the affected people in the new houses. Dladla was of the view that it would not make sense for these items to be used in houses that were not fit for human occupation because their quality would be compromised.
