Issufomia Calu Wins R1.8 Million Rental Case

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Issufomia Calu, the Director of Ncamase Investments has won the R1.8million outstanding rentals court case against Nedbank Eswatini.

The bank was renting premises at Big Tree Shopping Complex-Mahhala but Managing Director Fikile Nkosi subsequently refused to pay rent in what appeared to be a well-syndicated and systematic collusion seeking to bankrupt the businessman and auction his property at the time when he was facing court battles against Galp Eswatini.

Worth-nothing, the businessman secured a loan at Nedbank Eswatini when building the Shopping Complex, he continued to service the loan even though the Nedbank Managing Director was refusing to pay rent with an alleged intention to collapse his business.

But it remains unclear who wanted to grab or take over the property as the attacks against businessman Calu and his company appeared to be involving a well-connected syndicate.

MLK Ndlangamandla Attorneys was representing businessman Calu and Ncamase Investments while Zweli Jele from Robison Bertram was defending Nedbank Eswatini Limited.

Judge Bongnkhosi Magagula ordered the bank on Tuesday to pay the outstanding rentals due to the businessman and his company Ncamase Investments.
