Africa-Press – Eswatini. The worse result should be a goalless draw according to Royal Leopard captain Muzi ‘Mzoro’ Dlamini.

The MTN Premier League champions will host Malian side Real de Bamako this afternoon at Somhlolo National Stadium in the additional TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup play-off for a place in the group stages.

‘Mzoro’, who is expected to operate at right back today as Mlamuli ‘Mlaba’ Msibi is expected to sit out this clash because of injury, says the experience of their elimination from Africa’s premier club competition, the Total Energies CAF Champions League by Cameroonian giants Cotonsport had made them realise thatwinning home games in these competitions was crucial.

Pressure

“We saw against Cotonsport that conceding at home can be suicidal. We drew 1-1 here at home and when we went to Cameroon, we were under pressure to score. Against the Malian team, we need to win at all costs and the worse result should be a goalless draw,” the former Mbabane Highlanders and Sihlangu winger said.

He added that their opponents looked a physically strong side and used their height perfectly in set pieces in the clips they have seen.

“They (Real de Bamako) are dangerous on dead balls situations and we need to avoid giving fouls away closer to our box. We need to frustrate them by putting the ball down as they have tall but not quick players,” he added.

Kick-off for the game is 3pm with the return leg in Mali next week Wednesday. The winner of this tie will qualify for the group stages of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.

Leopard also reached this stage last season, brushing aside top Algerian side JS Kabylie to progress.
