King Commissions E60 Mln Hosea RDF, Calls for Respect for Elderly

Africa-Press – Eswatini. His Majesty King Mswati III has officially commissioned E60 million worth of projects under the Regional Development Fund (RDF) as part of his continued drive to ensure that the people of Eswatini are employed with the intent to foster economic growth in the Kingdom of Eswatini ultimately.

During the official opening of Hosea Inkhundla, the King pointed out that he would continue empowering Emaswati the youth, to inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship, ensuring that the country continues to enjoy tranquil peace and economic boom.

“It is with utmost pleasure that I am happy to be at Hosea to bless the projects worth 60 million which will create jobs and ensure that the community thrives in line with the country’s vision to become a first-world country,” said His Majesty whose command was welcomed with bouts of “Bayethe Wena Phakathi”.

The projects which were officially opened by the King on Wednesday were the newly rebuilt and upgraded Hosea Inkhundla Centre, a clinic, a community hall, and nine vehicles allocated for community development officers – all funded through the Regional Development Fund.

The King announced the upgrade of Hluthi-Mbulungwane via the Hosea and Sindzandlala road to a tar standard.

His Majesty the King with Usizo Plaza Owner Justice Nxumalo and family as well as members of the publi after the official opening.

This road will link with the pipeline Hlatsi-Maloma via Etjendlovu Road, which also connects to the Siphofaneni-Siphambanweni road.

His Majesty also unveiled plans to construct 10 proper homes for vulnerable elderly residents under the Inkhundla as part of a nationwide campaign that began at Madlangempisi Inkhundla.

Hosea Inkhundla was one of several infrastructure sites destroyed by arsonists during the 2021 social unrest.

The newly reconstructed facility is modernized and equipped with a security surveillance system.

Addressing an excited Hosea community, His Majesty emphasised the Nation’s ongoing transformation agenda, which involves assessing living conditions in communities, identifying needs, and finding solutions.

He encouraged the community to collaborate with the Government in generating effective development ideas.

Earlier in the day, the King had opened Usizo Plaza, a locally owned shopping complex housing 17 stores, including well-known retail brands.

His Majesty reaffirmed the Government’s dedication to job creation nationwide.
