Africa-Press – Eswatini. King Mswati received letters of credence from the Ambassador Designate of Sweden, Her Excellency Mette Matilda Sunnergren.
The King met the newly appointed diplomat at Lozitha Palace on Thursday afternoon, he further received letters of credence from the Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi to Eswatini, His Excellency Alexis Bukuru.
“We cherish the cordial relations that exist between our friendly states and believe that our cooperation will grow from strength to strength even in years to come,” said the King as quoted by Government online platforms.
On another note, Her Excellency Mette Matilda Sunnergren,the Ambassador Designate of Sweden said the Kingdom of Eswatini was well known in her home country for its beautiful sceneries, preserved wildlife and for maintaining its strong cultural heritage.
“I assure you, Your Majesty, that I will continue the work of my predecessors to promote knowledge and interest in Sweden for your Kingdom,” she said.
His Excellency Alexis Bukuru, the Ambassador of Burundi said the Republic of Burundi remain committed to strengthening its partnership with the African continent adding that his country’s diplomatic relations with Eswatini was part of that commitment.
