KWAKITSI FOUNDATION DONATES 40 BLANKETS TO DPM’S OFFICE

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Kwakitsi Foundation, under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Temtsimba, presented 40 blankets to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, as part of the ongoing “Pay It Forward Blanket Drive” benefiting the Mankayane Home for the Elderly and Disabled.

The donation took place at the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office in Mbabane, where Princess Temtsimba officially handed over the items to DPM Hon. Thulisile Dladla. The initiative, which builds on a blanket donation campaign launched by Inkhosikati Make LaNkambule, aims to extend warmth and care to vulnerable communities across the country.

Princess Temtsimba expressed gratitude for the warm welcome by the DPM’s office and reaffirmed the foundation’s mission to serve and support emaSwati. “We are honoured to be here and to be warmly welcome, as we continue our journey of service to the people of Eswatini,” she said.

The foundation received 20 of the 40 blankets from Inkhosikati Make LaNkambule, marking her second donation since launching the campaign in 2024. The remaining blankets were contributed directly by Kwakitsi Foundation.

Deputy Prime Minister Dladla commended the Princess and the Royal Family for their compassion and commitment to social welfare. “I’d like to thank Their Majesties for their good hearts. It shows that the Princess has inherited it from them,” she said. “These donations go a long way in assisting the vulnerable, which includes child-headed families, persons with disabilities, especially those living with albinism, and many others.”

She further praised the foundation’s work in schools, particularly in nourishing vulnerable learners through school-based feeding programs and other empowerment efforts.

The “Pay It Forward Blanket Drive” is part of Kwakitsi Foundation’s broader commitment to social development. Princess Temtsimba emphasized plans to expand the initiative to reach more communities in 2025 while strengthening partnerships with government and community organizations.

“This partnership is an affirmation that when we come together, government, foundations, and communities, we can create sustainable solutions and meaningful change,” she said.

The Kwakitsi Foundation continues to align its humanitarian efforts with national goals to promote dignity, warmth, and hope for the people of Eswatini.
