Africa-Press – Eswatini. Limkokwing University Eswatini announced 10 fully funded scholarships during the launch of the Eswatini TV Albinism care Symposium, held Limkokwing University.
The scholarships are aimed at supporting people living with albinism and persons with disabilities, as part of the university’s commitment to inclusive education.The announcement was made by Princess Tfobile Gumede, Director of Limkokwing Eswatini, who delivered the remarks on behalf of the university’s leadership and management. She stated that the scholarships are offered in memory of the late founding president, Emeritus Professor Tan Sri Dato Sri Paduka Dr. Limkokwing, whose legacy of compassion continues to guide the institution’s mission.
“To demonstrate our unwavering commitment to this vital cause, I am delighted to announce that Limkokwing University is presenting 10 educational scholarships to support this transformative initiative,” said Gumede.
Five scholarships will be awarded to individuals living with albinism, while the other five are dedicated to persons living with disabilities. The initiative aligns with the national portfolios under the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, which oversees disability and albinism affairs.
“We are deeply honored to partner with Eswatini TV and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister in this impactful initiative a collaboration that has already begun transforming lives,” she added.
The event brought together stakeholders from government, civil society, and development organizations to explore solutions that improve the lives of people living with albinism. Princess Gumede concluded her speech by encouraging participants to support the symposium and commit to the shared vision of empowering all emaSwati through education.
