Africa-Press – Eswatini. Army Spokesperson Major Sandile Gwebu is also heading the Food Department at the Matsapha Garrison Army Barracks.
It has been disclosed that, the Army Spokesperson has been sending soldiers to deliver food to the Army Commander’s residence every Friday and this, triggered tension within the military as some soldiers complained that they “sometimes face food shortages”.
Army Spokesperson Major Sandile Gwebu declined to comment about these allegations.
But Army Commander Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze’s decision to appoint Gwebu as Spokesperson and as Head of the Food Department has raised eyebrows within the military amid stealing of food for soldiers.
The quantity of the food has been declining Army under Mashikilisane Fakudze’s administration and army sources urged this journalist to investigate allegations suggesting that, the food “is then sold after being delivered at the Army Commander’s residence”.
