Africa-Press – Eswatini. Following their Ingwenyama Cup triumph on Sunday, Green Mamba Chief Executive Officer Mandla Sibiya says they will shift all their focus to the league.

Sibiya said this after watching his side successfully defend the Ingwenyama Cup, beating Mbabane Swallows 1-0 during the final at Somhlolo National Stadium.

For their achievement, they will receive E1.4 million cash prize.

Despite having won two trophies this season already, Sibiya said there was still a lot at stake for Green Mamba.

The green wnd white ensemble is in contention for the league title as they are fourth on the log table, with only three points separating them and Young Buffaloes, who are at the top of the log. Interestingly, the two teams will face-off this weekend.

“It is still not enough; we are going for every tournament this season. We have won the Ingwenyama Cup, and are now focusing on the league. We believe it is still possible to win it, and we will go all the way. We will prepare for the games and I have faith in our current squad and technical bench,” he said

Sibiya said they were ready to fight until the end.

“We do not choose games at Green Mamba, we play to win every game,” he said, adding they were prepared for their match against Young Buffaloes.

“We have put the Ingwenyama Cup win behind us now as we are looking forward to the next match. “We want to defend our league title. That has been the culture of the club; you know the history of the club has always been about defending our title. “We take every game seriously and we are not going to select games. We are not going to say this game is more important than the other one, because all games are important.”

Green Mamba occupy the fourth position on the log table with 34 points.
