Yesterday morning (April 17, 2024), people from Mankayane and surrounding areas convened in that town to start a clean-up campaign in preparation for the event. Led by the Mankayane Town Board, the campaign was aimed to spruce up the town to welcome the upcoming celebration with renewed vigor and a sense of pristine beauty.

Participants, ranging from local residents to civic leaders, rolled up their sleeves to tackle litter, debris, and unkempt areas in a bid to transform the town’s appearance before the grand event tomorrow.

Stakeholders expressed their delight and satisfaction with the progress made during the campaign, hailing it as a resounding success. Many emphasised that Mankayane was now primed and poised to shine brightly on the auspicious occasion of the King’s birthday celebration. The collaborative spirit and collective effort showcased during the clean-up underscored the community’s commitment to presenting a picture-perfect setting for the upcoming King’s birthday celebration.
