Africa-Press – Eswatini. Golfers, community members, and corporate partners will come together at the Ezulwini Golf & Country Club on 23 November for the 6th Annual Manzini Lions Charity Golf Tournament, which kicks off at 9:00 AM with green fees set at E400.
The event aims to raise vital funds to support underprivileged families, feed the hungry, and restore dignity to vulnerable communities across Eswatini.
The tournament, themed “Tee Off for Hope and Charity!”, promises a day of sport, friendship, and giving back. “Through this tournament, we hope to show that sport is more than a game, it is a way to unite people for a meaningful cause,” said Sammy Msibi, President of the Manzini Lions Club. “Each swing on the course represents hope for someone in need.”
Now in its sixth edition, the tournament has grown steadily in both size and impact, reflecting the community’s trust in the Lions Club. Beyond fundraising, the event seeks to strengthen bonds among community members, highlight the importance of giving, and demonstrate how sport can help build a better Eswatini.
For many participants, the tournament is more than just golf. John Dlamini, a past participant, shared how the event allowed him to contribute to local families while spending quality time with friends on the green. “Knowing that my participation helps feed a child or support a struggling family makes every putt feel meaningful,” he said.
While there is currently no title sponsor, the Manzini Lions Club is inviting companies and individuals to align their brands with this life-changing cause. Sponsorship packages offer visibility, networking opportunities, and the satisfaction of giving back to the community.
All proceeds from the event go directly to feeding the hungry and uplifting communities in need. Interested participants or sponsors can contact the Manzini Lions Club on +268 7604 2988 or +268 7676 2777.
