Africa-Press – Eswatini. Schools across Mbabane are finalising preparations for the 2026 academic year, with learner registration, stationery distribution and administrative planning progressing smoothly, as parents, learners and school authorities work together to ensure a successful reopening.
At KaBoyce High School, parents accompanied learners during Grade 8 registration, highlighting strong parental involvement in the education process. Deputy Principal Nathi Nkambule confirmed that the school is fully prepared for the start of the academic year. He said learner stationery is scheduled for delivery on 12 January 2026, while class timetables have already been completed, ensuring that teaching and learning will begin without delays.
Similar levels of readiness were evident at St Mark’s High School, where busy registration lines and stationery handovers signalled the school’s preparedness. Principal Khanyisile Dlamini explained that the registration process follows last year’s interview phase and is now focused on confirming learner placement and issuing learning materials. She added that any spaces left by learners who fail to report will be opened and filled, ensuring optimal use of available school places.
Meanwhile, St Francis High School has intensified preparations by issuing newly admitted Grade 8 learners with school uniforms and stationery. The initiative reflects the school’s commitment to organisation, learner support and providing a positive and structured start to the academic year.
Across all three schools, administrators reported that planning has been ongoing for several months, with a focus on readiness, efficiency and learner wellbeing. The coordinated efforts by school management, parents and education stakeholders demonstrate a shared commitment to academic excellence.
As the countdown to reopening continues, the atmosphere in Mbabane schools remains one of optimism and enthusiasm, with institutions well positioned to welcome learners and launch the 2026 academic year on a strong and confident footing.
