MDURA’S COMEDY NIGHTS BECOMING POPULAR

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Thursday Comedy Nights hosted by comedian Mdura are becoming more popular each week. The comedian started hosting the shows a month ago and since then his audience has been growing each week.

Mdura does a 30 minute to an hour set each week sending his fans into a laughing frenzy.
This past Thursday, the show over 50 comedy lovers gather at 23:28 Lounge to witness one of their favourite comedian take centre stage.
When starting the show back in January, Mdura had over 20 fans. He also mentioned that he would be the only comedian on the stage for each show. The Lounge has become a resident for the comedian.

A number of other local artists also make their way to support the artist on these nights. Yesterday, comedian Shakes, Thembela, rapper Lyrikal Busta, and poet Christian Maz came to show support for the fellow comedian.
His set on Thursday was about travelling international and his family dynamics especially during funerals and family gatherings.
The comedian compared how black and white families handle loss of a loved one and the funeral proceedings.

Through his jokes, the comedian also taught his fans a valuable lesson on appreciating where one comes from.
“People must appreciate where they come from because we come from different backgrounds. Be proud of where you come from no matter the situation of your background,” he said.
Mdura shared jokes that landed him lots of laughter and rounds of applause from the audience.
Comedy fanatics had the time of their lives and gave Mdura standing ovation after his set.
